Challenge
A seasonal jet-ski business on Lefkada needed more than a brochure page. Guests arrive on their phones, in the sun, deciding in minutes whether to book. The site had to load fast on holiday connections, speak to German and English visitors equally, make licences and pricing clear before anyone walks to the dock, and stand on solid legal ground in both languages.
Approach
One calm, mobile-first design with a full-screen hero that sells the water before a word is read. A booking flow that calculates the price and checks licence requirements up front, so questions are answered before they are asked. Every page bilingual in English and German, with legal pages and a GDPR cookie banner built in from the start. Designed and built end to end, then handed over connected and ready to run.
Scope
- Bilingual site, English and German
- Booking flow with price calculator and licence gate
- Fleet catalogue, gallery, and location map
- Legal pages and GDPR cookie banner in both languages
- Google Search Console, Vercel Analytics, and Business Profile integration
- Ongoing content care and seasonal updates
Stack
Astro 5, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, TypeScript, Vercel hosting, self-hosted typography via Fontsource. The same modern stack AURA uses for every new build, tuned for speed, accessibility, and legal clarity.
Outcome
A launch-ready site, calm and readable, the way a family business deserves to be represented.
- Desktop Lighthouse 97, with mobile around 80, a full-screen hero video kept on purpose for the brand it carries
- Bilingual end to end, copy, legal pages, booking flow, and customer support
- Production-ready at launch, hosting, analytics, and Business Profile all connected
